What I Learned
In my studies with Peter Bowles, I practiced hot glass techniques such as cane work, twists, blends, fades, and collar colors to create detailed patterns and smooth color transitions. I also learned the incalmo technique for joining different colored glasses. Through his demonstrations, I gained essential skills in controlling glass viscosity, cold working, and refining precision in each step of the process.
Applied Knowledge in Practice
I applied techniques learned from Peter Bowles’s class to create my work, with a focus on using patterns made from glass cane.
